Our support team understand that the support for learning disabilities can vary considerably. We will work closely with your existing teams and be flexible in our approach and we will ensure our support team allows each individual to live their life as safe and independently as possible by supporting them with their individual needs, by maintaining their independence, providing encouragement to achieve a particular goal etc. The level of support we can provide will be completely flexible to your requirements, to help ensure that the individuals you support are kept safe and cared for with Dignity, Compassion and Respect.

We offer support to adults with learning disabilities, who may live in a supported living unit or their own home. Our staff will help support them to live safely and comfortably along with encouraging them to be confident to make their own choices and decisions.

Dementia can affect people in different ways. Some might lose their memory, others may become unsteady on their feet. There may even be people who have a change in personality.

ALZHEIMERS DISEASE: This occurs through a build-up of two proteins that damage brain cells and affects the transmissions of messages. Over time, this leads to the death of the brain cells, 60-80% of people who develop dementia will have this specific condition.

VASCULAR DEMENTIA: This results from a shortage of blood to the brain caused by conditions such as strokes and high blood pressure. 5-10% of people who develop dementia will have this specific condition.

FRONT-TEMPORAL DEMENTIA: Results from the build-up of proteins in the frontal and temporal lobes. These proteins clump together and damage the brain cells, which eventually die. This area controls emotion and behaviour. 5-10% of people who develop dementia will have this specific condition.
